What day and time is is held?

Tuesday evenings starting at 7.30pm.

Is there a membership fee?

At the moment this is £1 per week but you are welcome to come along for a few weeks and see how you get on first before joining.

I have never played Backgammon in my life but would like to come along and see what it is all about, would that be OK?

Yes. You can sit and watch a few games and then one of the members will sit with you and explain the rules as you play a game or two. If you want you can have a look at the rules by clicking on the link in the bar to the left. They can also be downloaded in text format from our Downloads page.

Do you have to be a certain age before you can join?

As we meet in a bar you must be sixteen or older. However, if you are younger and are keen to learn/play then get in touch as we will organise a junior club if enough people register an interest.

Do I have to attend every week?

No it is entirely up to you which weeks you attend.
